About Hair Transplantation

Even after a significant progression of hair loss, healthy hair remains in the back of the head and temporal region. The hair in these regions, which have strong vitality, are used in the autologous hair transplantation.

Because the hair that get transplanted are the patient’s own hair, the likelihood of post-transplantation rejection is very low. There are no changes in the color or texture, and the hair naturally turns gray as the person grows older. The transplanted hair grows semi-permanently using this method.

Strengths of Hus-hu’s Stem Cell Hair Transplantation

At Hus-hu Dermatology Clinic, stem cell injections containing growth factors are administered during hair transplantation so as to boost the satisfaction with the results. Platelets penetrate into the hair roots, and stimulate the stem cells. This in turn helps minimize damage to the hair follicles and promote regeneration, which also helps increase the survival rate of the transplanted hair.

High survival rate

Fast recovery Natural appearance Permanent results

Safe procedure

1.  High rate of survival of the transplanted hair

A stem cell injection containing growth factors collected from the patient’s blood on the day of the transplantation is directly administered into the hair loss area, thereby increasing the hair survival rate in addition to the hair yield.

2. Fast recovery from swelling and inflammation

With the stem cell therapy administered in combination with the transplantation, minimal damage is inflicted on the scalp, and the patient will quickly recover from swelling and inflammation after the procedure.

3. Natural appearance

Because the transplanted hair is the same as the original hair in terms of texture, characteristics and growth phase, it looks completely naturally.

4. Permanent results

The hair follicles used in the transplantation are obtained from the back and sides of the head, which are nearly unaffected by hair loss. This is why the transplanted hair grows permanently for a lifetime.

5. Little to no side effects

Because the hair follicles are obtained from the patient’s head, there are no adverse effects that occur during hair growth. Once the transplanted hair become fully grafted, there is a no need to take care of the hair, as it will grow like the original hair.

Types of Hair Loss and Number of Transplanted Hair

Characteristics of Hair Transplantation Methods

Incision-type Hair Transplant (Follicular Unit Transplantation, FUT)

Procedure method : A 1.5cm-wide and 12-14cm-long incision is made in the scalp. Hair follicular units with 1 to 3 hair strands attached thereto are transplanted into the hair loss site.

Pros : Little to no loss of follicles, Natural appearance, High survival rate, Can transplant a large number of hair (over 5,000), Fast and economical, Consistent surgical results

Cons : A thin scar remaining from the incision

Recommended to : Those with dense hair in certain areas of the head, Those who need to be transplanted a large number of hair at once Those who want a high survival rate

Non-incision-type Hair Transplant (Follicular Unit Extraction, FUE)

Procedure method : A extraction hand piece is used to extract the follicular units at the back of the head without making an incision and they are transplanted into the hair loss area

Pros : ,No scarring, No disruption in the everyday life, Fast recovery, Can transplant a small number of hair multiple times, Can be performed after the FUT procedure

Cons : Longer surgery time compared to FUT, Need to partially shave the head for transplantation of more than 1,000 hair

Recommended to : Those with concerns of localized hair loss, Those who cannot opt for FUT due to pulling in the back of the head, Those who want the transplantation for cosmetic purposes (correcting hairline, etc.)

Those who cannot take a long vacation

Those who do not have excess skin or who have cicatrix (scar) after undergoing two or more FUT

About Stem Cell Hair Loss Treatment

Blood collected from the patient is centrifuged to concentrate the stem cells or PRP, which are then injected into the hair loss area. Because autologous stem cells extracted from the patient’s own blood are used, faster results can be seen, with lower risks of side effects, compared to the conventional hair loss treatments.

Effects of Stem Cell Hair Loss Treatment

This is a treatment method that results in maximum effectiveness without surgery. Faster results will be observed when this procedure is performed in the early stages of hair loss, and it is also effective when treating hair loss past the intermediate stage.

Fundamental cell regeneration

Faster results and better effectiveness compared to the conventional treatment methods No side effects from drugs

Simple procedure

PRP Hair Root Strengthening Procedure & SmartPrep 2

PRP and SmartPrep are both procedures that use the active ingredients separated from the patient’s own blood, and characterized by similar actions. However, there is a difference when it comes to the type and quantity of the active ingredients that are involved. SmartPrep has 6-times higher efficacy than PRP.

Absorption can be enhanced by combining either of these treatment methods with the Mosaic Laser procedure. If the combinational therapy is applied during hair transplantation, it can help boost the survival rate of the transplanted hair.

PRP Hair Root Strengthening Procedure Using Autologous Blood SmartPrep 2 Using Viable Stem Cells

Centrifuge is used to concentrate the platelet-rich plasma, which is then directly injected into the hair loss site

Viable stem cells are concentrated by more than ten-fold using the patented SmartPrep 2 to be injected into the hair loss site

Main composition and treatment principles

Concentrated plasma containing large amounts amount of growth factors (VEGF, PDGF, TGFβ1, etc.) and platelets promotes collagen synthesis in the scalp, thereby strengthening the hair roots and activating the stem cells The concentrated solution of stem cells, which has the potential to differentiate into any types of cells, indirectly and directly causes the regeneration of cells in the scalp and hair follicles for fast and effective results
Effectiveness The results are observed twice as fast compared to the general hair loss treatments

Effectiveness is 6 times higher compared to PRP

Recommended to:

Anyone suffering from hair loss

Those who want to increase the survival rate of transplanted hair

Those who are concerned with stress-induced hair loss

Women who are suffering from hair loss

Those who want better effectiveness than the conventional hair loss treatments

About Vitamin D Injections

This is a treatment method where vitamin D is injected into the scalp to raise the concentration of vitamin D in the blood. It prevents hair loss and various other diseases at the same time. At Hus-hu Dermatology Clinic, we provide diagnoses and treatments based on individual characteristics and environments.

About Vitamin D

Vitamin D is an essential nutrient that is necessary for various physiological actions in the body. It plays an especially important role in boosting the concentration of calcium in the blood, and without vitamin D, calcium cannot be absorbed by the body. Thus, vitamin D deficiency can lead to osteoporosis, obesity, and cancer among various other conditions, and it is known to induce hair loss as a result of a compromised immune system.

Vitamin D is synthesized in the body through sun exposure and food consumption. However, the use of sunscreen and lack of outdoor activities in the daytime result in insufficient synthesis of vitamin D; accordingly, it must be supplied via supplements.

Effects of Vitamin D Injection Procedure

1. Prevention of hair loss

Vitamin D boosts the immune system, which helps with the hair loss treatment. It can produce synergistic effects when combined with the hair loss and scalp treatments offered by Hus-hu.

2. Strong bones

Vitamin D promotes calcium absorption and makes the bones stronger. Thus, it effectively prevents rickets, osteomalacia, osteoporosis and bone fracture among other diseases and medical conditions.

3. Strengthens the immune system

By strengthening the immune system, vitamin D helps prevent various diseases including diabetes, rheumatoid arthritis, cold and tuberculosis.

4. Inhibits cancer

Vitamin D helps inhibit the onset of colon cancer, breast cancer and prostate cancer, etc.

Vitamin D Injections Are Recommended to:

– Women with hair loss

– Those who want to strengthen their immune system and prevent diabetes, rheumatoid arthritis, cold and tuberculosis

– Elderly people, adolescents, menopausal women, and women after childbirth

– Those who want to increase calcium absorption and prevent osteoporosis, rickets and bone fracture

– Those who lack outdoor activity and cancer and burn patients, etc.
